PathWave RFIC Design (GoldenGate) 2022 Update 1.3 Release Notes

For general information about GoldenGate, visit the webpage at PathWave RFIC Design (GoldenGate).

Engine

  • Simulation issue fixed when using an EM model generated by RFPro with the *ggsim* view used in the switch/stop view lists.
  • Port reactance (x) is now taken into account while computing the Large-Signal S-Parameters (LSSP).
  • A simulation issue involving circuit with frequency-dependent resistors ($freq) and Envelope Transient in convolution mode has been fixed.
  • Fitting techniques for Fast Envelope Level 3 have been improved for wideband applications scenarios.

Front end

  •  GoldenGate now supports case insensitive PDK/netlist fragments (insensitive=yes) with frequency-dependent resistors ($freq).

Models

  • GoldenGate now supports the L-UTSOI 102.7 model.
  • GoldenGate now supports a multiple SiMKit libraries collection and can use multiple SiMKit library versions simultaneously.
The supported SiMKit versions start with 4.0  up to the latest available version (5.7).
The simulator will now pick up the exact (or closest available) version of the SiMKit models called in the circuit.
For example, if a circuit contains both PSP 103.7 and PSP 103.3 instances, the simulator will now use the exact requested version (i.e. 103.7 or 103.3). Prior to GoldenGate 2022-Update 1.3, all PSP 103.X instances were mapped on the latest version (103.7), even if the version specified in the model card was 103.3.
  • Flicker noise calculation has been fixed when thermal correction factors (tc1. tc2) are used in nonlinear resistors.
  • The different calculation modes for INDQ component have been aligned with the Spectre definitions.

  • DC operating points calculation has been fixed for HiCUM Level 0/1 models with multiplicity factor (mult > 1).
  • The support of the parameter 'muecb1' in the HiSIMSOI 1.5 model has been fixed.
